“Adventureland” is a great movie. Set in 1987, it is about a recent college graduate named James (Jesse Eisenberg), who is planning to move to New York City. Unfortunately, James doesn’t have enough money to leave, so he ends up taking a summer job at a second-rate amusement park called Adventureland. The story follows James as he gets used to working at the park, makes friends with some of his co-workers, and falls for a girl named Em (Kristen Stewart) during the summer. Although “Adventureland” was marketed as an outrageous comedy, similar to the movie “Superbad” (both movies had the same director), when it was first released, “Adventureland” is more low-key and has a good mix of comedy and drama. The movie has very good acting, especially by Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart, and a well-written story. I really recommend watching “Adventureland”.
